Question by Simone: What are some ways I could rearrange my room?
My room has very light blue walls with a beige carpet. I just moved around some picture frames, and furniture. The problem is, I have a huge gap in my corner with nothing in it. You could fit a queen sized bed there. Not saying I want to. The bigger problem is: My family has been spending money like mad men and so I can’t really “go out and get furniture” because I never get allowance, only when I return gifts, which is pretty much Christmas and my birthday. So that’s out. How can I fill that with some stuff? I have the biggest bedroom, even bigger than my parents… I’m only 12 so I can’t do MUCH but don’t underestimate me…

Well, since you don’t have money to buy stuff. Maybe you might have some paint around the house that you could use to paint a mural. It could be easy even if you have no talent.
When it is dark, get a flash light and a nice shaped leaf. Then use the flashlight to shine the leaf’s shadow unto the wall. This may take 2 people – one to trace the shape onto the wall – the other to hold the leaf the correct distance away from the flashlight to get the size leaf you want. You can repeat this process over and over until you get the number of shapes that you want. You don’t have to use leaves, but branches would be nice, possibly a daisy flower, or anything else that has a nice shape. Trace with a pencil. Then either paint just the line, or you could stripe the leaf in (use a different one inch line from the outside in to create a pattern) or just about anything you can think of. This will give you art and help take up “space” in your room. And it could be a fun project for you and a friend or even your family.
